It’s been a massive few months at turnifure.com, and we’ve completely retooled the engine under the hood. We’re not just about furniture with a spin anymore—we’ve given the platform one, too.
The Tech Upgrade: See It Before You Cut It
The biggest leap? We’ve brought your designs to life before you download a single file. We had to convert our entire catalog—from the Wavy TV Rack to the Shift stool and deskBed—into a new “design recipe.”
The result is a real-time 3D viewer inside our ModMaker tool. As you slide those parameters, you now get an instant, dynamic 3D preview. You can visualize your custom furniture, de-risking your build and giving you confidence that what you design is exactly what you’ll cut.
The Nesting Revolution: Unlimited Customization is Coming
But we’re not stopping there. We’re building a new 2D nesting server that’s going to blow open the doors on customization.
Right now, our designs are optimized for a standard 4×8 ft board. The new nesting server removes that constraint entirely. Imagine:
- Selecting your own board sizes.
- Nesting multiple units (like a set of Shift stools) on a larger sheet.
- Unlocking an entire cabinetry class of models.
This feature means virtually unlimited possibilities for sizing, materials, and quantities. We’re starting this new class with a complex, fully parametric drawers cabinet to stress-test the system and ensure the nesting is robust from day one. We’re focused on optimizing the server now to make sure the tool is fast and reliable for everyone.
