We Evolved 🧬 How this Works

Hey everyone! Finally… Our platform upgrade from a static plans ecommerce to dynamic, instantly generated CNC plans is complete!

This means our ModMaker tool, model pages, mods account is now fully integrated, allowing you to customize designs in a user friendly interfase. This involved a major backend overall. If you spot any quirks, please let us know – your feedback is invaluable!

Then & Now

Remember static plans? Kiss’em good bye. Mid 2024 we introduced a beta version ModMaker and Mods for generating custom variations. Now, we’ve streamlined everything for maximum value and flexibility.

How to Get Your turnifure.com Plans:

  • Maker’s PASS: Our best deal! Unlock all models and enjoy unlimited Mods for a whole year.
  • Individual Models:
    • Free Models: Still free! Generate them anytime, account or not. (We might add bot checks later).
    • Paid Models: Unlock a model for a year and get 3 Mods included to generate custom variations. Need more versions for different clients or materials? Grab Mod Pack here.

Your Perfect CNC Plan in 10 Easy Steps:

  1. Measure Up:

    Precisely measure your material thickness.

  2. Test Inserts Fit:

Go to Test Pair > ModMaker, input your thickness, and generate it free.

  3. Cut & Test Samples:

Cut the test pieces from your actual material.

  4. Understand Inserts
    • Tight Inserts: For a rock-solid, one-time assembly.
    • Loose Inserts: For daily adjustable parts (e.g., playDesk2, Rockpit).
  5. Check Fit & Count Dots:

Test your sample inserts. Each dot on the test piece = +0.05mm slot width.

  6. Note Your Numbers:

Jot down the dot counts for your perfect tight and loose fits.

  7. Unlock Your Model:

Head to your chosen model’s page and unlock it (Add to Cart → Checkout).

  8. Dial in Your Specs sliders️

In ModMaker, set your saved dimensions and insert preferences.

  9. Generate & Download!

Get your custom DXF & SVG files. Save them immediately! (We don’t store generated plans).

  10. 10. Work Your Magic & Share!

Cut, assemble, and style it up! Don’t forget to send us photos of your awesome builds!

Quick Notes:

  • Validity: Maker’s PASS & model unlocks are for one year (no auto-renew). We’ll remind you before they expire.
  • Commercial Use: Active as long as your PASS or model unlock is active.
  • Flexible Mods: Mods aren’t tied to one model. Use your 6 Mods from unlocking 2 models on any of your unlocked designs!
  • Legacy Plans: Purchased older, static plans? Email us for access.

Happy Modding!

Hey Javier! huge congratulations to you and your team for the incredible work on ModMaker — I can see how much effort and passion went into building it. It’s already looking amazing, and I’m sure it’s going to be a game-changer for many of us in the laser art community.
As someone who has worked extensively with SolidWorks and Fusion 360, I understand how much time and complexity are involved in creating precise models so I’m relly impressed — while platforms like Makercase are limited to simple laser-cut boxes, ModMaker allows users to modify complex designs in just a few clicks. That’s an outstanding achievement!
Looking forward to what’s coming next!

Hell yeah! We are sooo proud. Thanks a lot!

This was a fantastic upgrade, Javier. Being able to dial in the exact material thickness is a huge time saver – we just ran a test piece on 18.5 mm Baltic Birch and the tight insert setting was spot-on. We’re using a tweaked Cowork Table design for a client’s office fit-out. The integrated cable management is a huge selling point. Great work.

Thanks! I’d love to know what that tweak is about, hit me up at [email protected] and throw-in a few pics!

    • Javier on 2025-06-06 at 11:57 AM

Hi Maria, GRACIAS! I’ll answer in English so everyone can follow along. Option 2 is correct. The Mods themselves don’t expire, but your access to each model does after one year. As long as you have any actively unlocked model, you can use your Mods on it.
I see you’ve already unlocked the Rockpit. Just be sure to use your Mods before your access expires. And if you’re building commercially, just renew the unlock to keep your license active.
      Thanks for your support!

Hey, congrats on the ModMaker tool, it’s indeed impressive. Just a tip for new designs. I made the original playDesk out of 3/4 MDF and its structure got compromised in just a few months. The inserts were very tight and it was rock solid right out of the box but daily use caused the MDF around the inserts to lose rigidity and had to keep adding my own reinforcements to keep it stable. I’d definitely recommend adding some hardware anchors in key structural spots, like the ones on the Rockpit. Way to go.

    • Javier on 2025-06-09 at 10:03 AM

Hello Mat, thanks for the feedback! Yep, the original playDesk had that structural issue and it was mostly solved with playDesk2. With MDF it’s not 100% bulletproof though and I always recommend Plywood. Future designs will definitely include the Bolt + TNut combo anchors in critical joints.
      Thanks!!!
