Nov 24′ Update | Back in the Saddle
Hey everyone, Javier here! It’s been a while since my last update, I’ve been busy working on turnifure.com full-throttle!
First things first, remember that Android app I was working on? Well, it’s finally finished! It was a fun side project, but I’m happy to be back to my first love: designing awesome furnitureπ.
Speaking of which, I’ve made a big decision about the future of turnifure.com. After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to stick with selling CNC furniture plans. Why? Because designing and creating is what I truly enjoy. Dealing with the international logistics of manufacturing and shipping finished pieces just doesn’t light my fire the same way.
But don’t worry, there’s still plenty of new stuff in the works! I have two plans in the oven: Rockpit (a sim racing rig, which I’ll be finally offering by popular demand!π) and “Shift”, an adjustable stool adapted from my 2021 adjustable headrest design. I can’t wait to share them with you soon!
In other news, my trusty old Lenovo laptop (from 2014) finally kicked the bucket. She started throwing blue screens left and right so it was time for an upgrade. I’m now the proud owner of a gamer-level, all-powerful Asus that’s coming to revolutionize my workflow. Expect nicer textures, higher resolution renders, smoother animations, and even more detailed designs in the future!
And finally, I’ve added something cool to the product pages for playDesk2, zTandingDesk, and Rockpit: milling simulation time-lapses from CAMOTICS! Now you can get a glimpse of how each plan is milled on a CNC machine.
What do you think of the new additions? Can you think of another function for Shift? Let me know your thoughts below! π
