🔜 playDesk3 Mini is almost ready!

Hey everyone! As part of a colab with a partner maker I finished developing playDesk3 Mini! Check out the 3D spin below, it gets the awesome looks of playDesk2, in a smaller package.

Great looks, even better improvements!

  • Predefined hardware anchors: it is way stronger, no matter the material width or inserts tightness, the new design has 12 anchor points with 8 bolt+T-Nut combos and 4 Rafix connections that make it rock solid.
  • Same height levels, easier setup: It’s not necessary to empty the desk and remove the old height levelers to change height. It inherited the improved height adjustment system from my Rockpit design.
  • More inclination freedom: You’re no longer limited to 0°, 5° or 10° inclination steps. The new system can be tilted to 6 positions within that range.
  • Fewer parts: Parts went from 11 to 8, simplifying the assembly.
  • Zero small parts: All new parts have enough surface for the vacuum bed to hold them. A major improvement for milling simplicity.
  • 100% improved nesting: Optimized for the large 2750 x 1850 mm (9 x 6 ft) board, a single board makes 2 complete playDesk3 Mini.
  • Smaller but NOT SMALL Designed purely for comfort while gaming. Unless you want to fit a 1 meter wide screen + tower PC, the 900 x 670 mm surface should give you space to spare.

    • Overkill Anchors

    ⬅️ Designed for hardcore, desk punishing gamers, these Inserts + Bolt + T-Nut combos are the strongest available anchors for RTA furniture.
    They combine the unmatched structural rigidity of inserts plus the overkill tensile strength of the M6 bolt+tNut connection!

    Easier Assembly

    Fewer Parts – 1 Person – 1 Tool.

    All these changes improve the functionality, while also increasing the strength and lifespan and also simplifying the manufacturing process.

    This is part of a colab, with Virutas Uruguay and we are offering this as a finished product. We’ll use the experience and feedback to improve the design before adding it to ModMaker for global availability.
