⬅️ We are thrilled to announce a major functional update for our fabrication partners. ModMaker now features real-time production estimators! You can instantly calculate the total boards required, material yield, cut path length, and soon, estimate cutting times based on your CNC’s specific feed rate. This means faster quoting, zero guesswork, and immediate ROI for local makers.
Stronger Joints & Organic Designs
As we previously teased in our Wavy Curves & Mobile Upgrades post, we are continuing our intense work on the new Wavy Bookshelf. We’ve just implemented structural, Rafix-connected backpanels to ensure rock-solid stability for larger configurations. Furthermore, our 2-step anchor redesign is advancing beautifully, ensuring that our heavy-duty models are structurally tougher than ever before.
Future Vision: AR and Rendering Tutorials
Looking ahead, we are exploring two exciting visual upgrades that will transform how you interact with our platform. First, we are ideating an Augmented Reality (AR) preview feature so customers can see their parametrically adjusted furniture right in their future placement. Plus, we are designing a dedicated section to show our makers how to output renders through a combination of ModMaker and AI, boosting your local marketing efforts with photorealistic imagery!

📅 Update 2026-06-22 – Wavy Bookshelf Hardware Integration
Just finished the Rafix hardware placement for the Wavy Bookshelf and placed Rafix connectors on all backpanel posible positions so you can choose where to place them and remove the holes you don’t need.

📅 Update 2026-06-25 – Automated Edge Banding Support
⬅️ We are adding intelligence to ModMaker to identify edges suitable for banding, ensuring 3D material changes apply only to exposed surfaces and not structural joints or back-facing edges. This is the first step in evolving the engine to real-world Maker quotations capability.
