The transition to a multi-designer marketplace is fully underway! Since our last update at the end of June, we’ve been pushing hard on tools that empower both the CNC makers who fabricate our designs and the talented creators who provide them.

Fabrication Quoting Made Easy

⬅️ If you run a CNC shop, quoting custom furniture can be an Excel nightmare. We’ve solved this with the completion of our Maker Dashboard. Building directly upon the edge-banding capabilities we teased in our ModMaker: Edge Banding & Dashboards post, subscribers now have access to a dedicated “Fabrication” page. This tool automatically calculates material yield, exact cut paths, and total edgeband lengths in real-time. No more guesswork—just instant, accurate quotes for your clients.

The Designer Hub is Live

We’ve officially launched the Designer Dashboard. Creators can now easily upload their SVG recipes, set metadata, and monitor generation stats. But we didn’t stop there. We’ve integrated an AI-powered Idea Drop tool: designers just upload a photo and a quick audio note on the go, and our system generates polished, SEO-optimized marketing content automatically. Less time marketing means more time designing.

Fairness and Expansion

To support this growing ecosystem, we’ve reverted to variable pricing for our plans (ranging from $5 to $25) to properly value complex designs. We are also establishing a fair revenue-sharing model inspired by the biggest marketplaces to ensure our partner designers thrive. Speaking of talent, we’re currently in talks with participants from the ORT University design contest to bring fresh, innovative models to the platform soon!

Physical Colabs Are Here

For those who just want finished furniture without touching a router, we are piloting our first local drop-shipping “Colab” in Uruguay! We’ll be offering fully assembled, heavy-duty playDesk3 Mini desks very soon. Keep an eye out.
