New project: Gaming Cockpit
A week ago I went visit my cousin (a cars fan and racing addict) to find he got one of those gaming cockpits / racing simulators. He added an awesome CPU and off-the-charts GPU, threw in the pedals, wheel and gear shifter (everything with force feedback) and he’s having a blast with it.
After a few cold ones I decided to give it a shot timing laps and he kicked my butt.
Why did I share all of that? I have no idea but as it turns out, I’m 1.92 m or (6’3″) so the thing was too small for me, it had zero adjustment options and my knees were constantly pressed against the crossbar under the steering wheel. I’m pretty sure that’s why I kept losing ;).

hola hace un par de meses que te sigo trabajo para una universidad y se han comprado un CNC y quiero echar mano de ello, estaba pensando en un escritorio de tus diseños, pero me ha llamado mucho la atención de este nuevo proyecto, estoy ansioso por conocer el diseño en el que trabajaras, ya que tengo montados mis periféricos en un escritorio sencillo y se mueve cuando juego rally.

Hola Harol! que bueno que sigas mi actividad y excelente que tengas una CNC al alcance! En pocos dÃas mandaré un update sobre este proyecto pero los avances son escazos porque he estado complicado con varios temas y le pude dedicar poco tiempo. Lo que si puedo asegurarte es que la prioridad en este diseño es la solidez estructural, por encima de los ajustes por lo que ese problema con tu escritorio ya no deberÃas tenerlo, de todas formas será ajustable de varias formas. No sé si estás subscripto a los updates, si no lo estás te recomiendo que lo hagas asà te enteras cuando esté pronto. Saludos!
