Following up on my last post about the ModMaker v2 beta launch, I’ve got some seriously exciting news and updates hot off the press!
Major Milestone: ALL Core Designs Now ModMaker-Powered!
Remember how I mentioned converting designs to the new ModMaker? Well, its officially DONE! 🎉 This week, I finished integrating the zTandingDesk, which means it joins the Cowork Table and DeskBed in being fully parametric. That’s right – all my current core designs are now supercharged by ModMaker 2.0!
What does this mean for you? You can go to the product pages, tweak parameters like material thickness, width, length, fits, corner radius – whatever the design allows – and ModMaker instantly regenerates the downloadable DXF and SVG files to your exact specs. This level of on-the-fly customization was the main goal, and hitting ‘publish’ on the last one felt incredible!
Say Hello to “Shift”!
More good news – the “Shift” adjustable height stool is now LIVE! Adapted from that cool headrest concept, it’s compact, strong, and offers 30cm of height adjustment. It’s fully integrated into ModMaker for Maker’s PASS subscribers, ready for your custom touch. Check it out and let me know what you think!

With the core designs updated and Shift launched, the top priority remains expanding the catalog. I want to bring you more awesome, substantial, parametric adjustable CNC furniture plans. Progress is already well underway – we’re actively working on getting five new designs closer to reality! This focused effort means work on the Rockpit redesign and the technical docs page remains paused for now, ensuring we deliver more making options to you sooner. Other tasks related to website copy, ads, account features etc., are also on the back burner.

📅 Update 2025-04-16 – Big progress on Project Bed 1.
Considering I’ll be adding hundreds of designs. I have to stop giving them fancy names or I’ll end up spending more time naming than designing. I’m currently revisiting a project I started long ago, back in 2019. Check out the post Starting my first Bed. My initial objectives was nesting the entire thing in 1 4×8 board only, and no hardware.
By now I can say both initial goals will be met. Plus, with some clever parametric nesting I managed to make it adjustable in mattress width, and length without breaking the nesting, so, through ModMaker, project Bed1 will be compatible with global mattress standards.
